Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act 1982 is Commonwealth legislation that allows the general public to seek access to information held by any Commonwealth agency or authority.

СÀ¶ÊÓƵ is a Commonwealth authority and subject to the Act.

Please Note:  СÀ¶ÊÓƵ is currently experiencing an increase in FOI requests and this is impacting on our ability to address requests within minimum processing times.

If you are lodging a request it is most likely that the current increase in requests will require that СÀ¶ÊÓƵ seek extensions from applicants (as per FOI Act s 15AA ) or, where appropriate, seek an extension of time from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

For advice on what to consider before making an FOI please see the FOI requests page or email foi@anu.edu.au for advice.
